Our Networks

Delta Dental offers two proprietary networks: Delta Dental PPO™ and Delta Dental Premier®. Putting these two networks together provides wide ranging access to care as well as out-of-pocket savings for your employees.

Learn the difference between Delta Dental PPO and Premier networks

With a dental PPO plan, you are free to see any licensed dentist. However, you will save the most money by visiting a Delta Dental network dentist.

  • Delta Dental PPO: Members will save the most with a Delta Dental PPO dentist. Delta Dental PPO network dentists agree to accept our reduced PPO fees as payment in full for dental services. This means they cannot bill members the difference between what they usually charge and what the Delta Dental PPO fee is.
  • Delta Dental Premier: Members will pay more with a Delta Dental Premier dentist compared to a Delta Dental PPO dentist. However, they will likely save compared to a non-Delta Dental network dentist. Delta Dental Premier dentists agree to our maximum plan allowance as payment in full, which may be lower than the dentist’s regular fee.

Most plans feature Delta Dental PPO Plus Delta Dental Premier where members can receive in-network benefits from both networks. This offers members more choice and network protections since all Delta Dental network dentists must follow Delta Dental’s processing policies and meet network credentialing standards.
