No one will be subject to, and the Company prohibits, any form of discipline, reprisal, intimidation, or retaliation for good faith reports or complaints of incidents of discrimination of any kind, pursuing any discrimination claim, or cooperating in related investigations.
Anyone who violates this policy will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination of employment.
This policy is not intended to restrict communications or actions protected or required by state or federal law.
Delta Dental of New Mexico is also a federal contractor or subcontractor subject to: Executive Order 11246 (“E.O. 11246”); Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act (“Section 503”); and Section 4212 of the Vietnam Era Veteran’s Readjustment Assistance Act (“Section 4212”).
Under E.O. 11246, federal law prohibits discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national orientation. Delta Dental of NM will take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment such individuals in all employment practices and the terms, conditions, or privileges of employment as prescribed by federal law.
Under Section 503, federal law prohibits discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment because of physical or mental disability regarding any position for which the employee or applicant for employment is qualified. Delta Dental of NM will take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment individuals with disabilities, and to treat qualified individuals without discrimination on the basis of the physical or mental disability in all employment practices and the terms, conditions, or privileges of employment as prescribed by the federal regulation.
Under Section 4212, federal law prohibits discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment because of a status as a disabled veteran, recently separated veteran, active-duty wartime or campaign badge veteran, or Armed Forces service medal veteran (collectively, “Protected Veteran”) regarding any position for which the employee or applicant for employment is qualified. Delta Dental of NM will take affirmative action to employ, advance in employment, and otherwise treat qualified individuals without discrimination based on their status as a Protected Veteran in all employment practices and the terms, conditions, or privileges of employment as prescribed by the federal regulation. The People Services Director is our “contractor official” responsible for hiring at all locations.
